Editor’s Note

Barbour started in 1894 as an oilcloth importer in South Shields, England. More than a century later, the Darwen gloves are made from the waxed cotton Barbour became known for, now quilted in tartan across the back of each hand, with soft Nappa leather on each palm. The gloves carry a classic embossed Barbour logo, and the one concession to the present is a set of fingertips that work on touchscreens.
