In 1947, George Nelson was named the Director of Design for Herman Millerยฎ. While overseeing designers like Ray and Charles Eames and Richard Schultz, he produced his own pieces, including the Nelsonยฎ Fireplace Caddy. It was initially produced in 1950 and features an updated construction with a powder-coated steel frame, solid walnut dowels, and a canvas sling. Durable and functional, the mid-century accessory is a welcome addition to modern firesides. Pairs well with the Nelsonยฎ Fireplace Tool Set.
